This theme was introduced with a PDF that explained the importance of the festival and ways of celebrating it in an eco-friendly manner. This was followed with the seven days activities hosted by Ms. Ashnima which involved real life experiences and deeds involving values that children would inculcate in their future as well.

Here's the list of activities that were conducted throughout the week:

  • DAY 1: GIVE TO THE NEEDY
  • DAY 2: COMPLIMENT OTHERS
  • DAY 3: SPREAD SOME CHEER
  • DAY 4: CARE FOR ANIMALS and BIRDS
  • DAY 5: PICK UP EXTRA CHORES
  • DAY 6: SPREAD POSITIVITY
  • DAY 7: PLANT A TREE

Students were given out each day's activity on WhatsApp and were asked to click pictures or record videos of the same and upload them to their respective class teacher's G-Classrooms. Many students throughout the standard participated in making others cheerful while following the principles of kindness.

On November 3rd, 2021, the class teachers of Std VIII organized virtual Diwali Celebrations  for their classes. A video on the entire programme was made by students under the guidance of their class teachers, which comprised of sharing the importance of different Diwali days, different types of rangoli making, innovative ways to make a Diwali greeting, a tutorial to make handmade lanterns for home decor, parent sharing views on significance of Diwali and Diwali sweets. Children were also made aware about pollution and health hazards caused by bursting of crackers during Diwali. Teachers encouraged them to celebrate a pollution free Diwali to save our mother earth.

To mark the occasion of Diwali, students of Std X involved themselves in various activities on November 1st, 2021 like diya making, lantern making, preparing wall hangings and other decorative articles out of waste materials. Some students also displayed their creativity by making beautiful rangolis. The students were very enthusiastic and creative in their work.
