Feast of St. Joseph

Saint Joseph's Day, also called the Feast of Saint Joseph our Patron & Guide celebrated on March 19th, 2021 at SJCHS

To celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph and to the year dedicated to St. Joseph, the following activities were conducted by Class IX:

  • A video presentation including the Sisters of St. Joseph’s Convent and the 5 Class Teachers was created and aired on the Feast day. This video provided insights into the life of St. Joseph and various traditions and beliefs connected with the day.
  • A St. Joseph Feast Activity was conducted for students and teachers of Class IX, during which participants created a ‘statue’ of the Holy Family and prayed for their own family as represented by Joseph, Mary & Jesus.
  • Students were also provided with colouring sheets and encouraged to use their art skills and participate in the activity.

Paper Lilies

In preparation of the Feast of St. Joseph, Std VII students learnt how to make lilies; the flower which is a symbol of our Patron Saint. This workshop was conducted on 12th March, 2021

Celebration of the Feast of St. Joseph by Std VII

An online celebration was held with Class VII D for the Feast of St. Joseph on 19th March, 2021.

The celebration began with a prayer service which involved the students in it.

Then, the students were shown the video prepared by teachers of Class IX via screen share and also viewed a video on St. Joseph.

The celebration ended with the hymn to St. Joseph and were also given activities related to their school.

Our School's Patron Saint - St. Joseph's Feast Day was celebrated on 19th March, 2021

The class teacher of VB, Ms. Ashnima Andrades prepared a PowerPoint Presentation on the life of St. Joseph and also explained the students of the significance of celebrating the two different feasts of the same saint i.e.

·         19th March being The Feast of St. Joseph and

·         1st May celebrated as St. Joseph - The Worker

The students were also shown a video presentation that was compiled by the teachers of Std. IX along with the principal, the vice-principal and many other sisters of the convent.

The class teacher had arranged for a colouring activity where the students were provided with images of COLOURING SHEETS of St. Joseph. Many of them sketched the same while some took a printout and wholeheartedly brought life to those images by using vibrant colours on it. The celebration ended with the HYMN TO ST. JOSEPH
