December 22nd marks the birth anniversary of the famous mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan and is celebrated as National Mathematics Day every year. Std VII (all divisions) participated in the following activities:

21 students participated in Essay Writing

National Mathematics Day was celebrated at SJCHS on December 22nd for the students of Std V to X to mark the birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan, the great mathematical genius who made exemplary contributions in the field of mathematics.
This day was celebrated with the objective of creating awareness on the importance of mathematics in daily life situations and also to create interest in studying mathematics. A short video link was shared with the students online based on the life of Srinivas Ramanujan.
As a part of the celebrations Poster / Chart making competitions were held. An Essay Writing competition was also held where the topic was 'Importance Of Mathematics In Daily Life'.
A Housie game was conducted by the maths teachers based on mathematical riddles for students of Std VIII to X.
Students participated in all the above events with great zest and enthusiasm and enjoyed it a lot.
