The birthday of the 1st Indian female teacher, Savitribai Phule was celebrated by Std VII (all divisions) on January 3rd, 2022. A special online class was conducted highlighting the contribution of Savitribai Phule, especially in the areas of female education and social reform. This was done with the help of some interesting images and facts on her life and informative videos, posters, google pages and articles. Many activities related to this event were sent to the students and daily reminders were given on the class WhatsApp group. Students then enthusiastically and actively participated in a week-long string of activities from January 3rd to 12th like various # hashtag competitions - Mono Acting, Essay Writing, Poem Composition, Poster Making, etc., and uploaded it on various social media platforms with the following hashtags:

The students of Std VIIA of St. Joseph's Convent High School, Bandra (West) actively and enthusiastically participated in the Savitribai Phule Diwas Competitions organised by the State Education Department from January 3rd to 12th which was celebrated as the 191st Anniversary of Savitribai Phule, the First Female teacher of Maharashtra.
On January 3rd the class teacher, Ms. Simin Shah, also shared interesting videos, pictures and information on the life of Savitribai Phule to further enlighten the children about this great personality of Maharashtra and India.
Students participated in various competitions like dressing up as Savitribai Phule, some wrote essays on the life of Savitribai Phule, some drew interesting posters, etc.
Students further uploaded their work on social media handles like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and made their post public via # hashtag competitions namely:
